In collaboration with the&nbsp;Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong, we launched the&nbsp;&#8220;Cherishing Water&#8221;&nbsp;program\u2014an immersive STEAM-based initiative that blends&nbsp;hands-on experiments, cutting-edge technology, and real-world applications&nbsp;to teach children about water purification and conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through&nbsp;interactive STEAM workshops, young learners become environmental scientists for a day, constructing their own&nbsp;eco-friendly water filters&nbsp;while discovering the science behind purification. These activities sharpen their&nbsp;problem-solving, observation, and critical thinking skills, turning theory into tangible learning. The experience extends beyond the classroom with a visit to the&nbsp;Water Supplies Department\u2019s H2OPE Centre, where dynamic exhibits like&nbsp;&#8220;Water + Recycling&#8221;&nbsp;(showcasing rainwater reuse) and&nbsp;&#8220;Water + Quality&#8221;&nbsp;(demonstrating filtration processes) bring innovation to life, sparking curiosity about sustainable water solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By merging&nbsp;experiential learning with technological exploration, the program doesn\u2019t just educate\u2014it inspires.
